The announcement Daniel Day-Lewis will return to acting came this week on the news that Anemone would hit the big screen in the coming years. The father-son Day-Lewis combo co-wrote the screenplay together, and the movie will be about the relationships between fathers, sons, brothers, and family.
From a synchronicity standpoint, it’s hard to imagine a better project for Daniel Day-Lewis to return with, clearly seeing the same through lines between what will happen on the big screen and what has happened in his own life.
In addition to Daniel Day-Lewis as the star and Ronan Day-Lewis behind the lens, Anemone will include Sean Bean, Samantha Morton, Samuel Bottomley and Safia Oakley-Green in various roles.
