Gary Sanchez belted a seventh-inning grand slam to help the Baltimore Orioles record an 11-2 victory against the visiting Los Angeles Angels on Sunday afternoon, completing a three-game sweep.

Sanchez homered for the second day in a row after missing time since late April with an injury. Ramon Urias and Jordan Westburg also homered as Baltimore produced its third series sweep in its last five series.

Cade Povich (2-5) was the winning pitcher, logging 3 2/3 scoreless innings while allowing three hits and one walk and logging four strikeouts. It marked the first time in his last six outings that the Orioles won the game. Five Baltimore pitchers combined on a five-hitter.

Gunnar Henderson joined Urias, Sanchez and Westburg with two hits. Baltimore’s runs came with a total of 12 hits. The team has won four of its last five games overall.

Nolan Schanuel hit a home run and had two of the Angels’ hits.

Starter Yusei Kikuchi (2-6) took the loss, surrendering five runs (three earned) across 5 2/3 innings despite striking out 10 batters.

Scott Blewett, in his third appearance since rejoining the Orioles, was used in an opener’s role. He gave up two runs in 2 2/3 innings.

Los Angeles scored first on Schanuel’s home run with one out in the first inning.

Westburg led off the first inning by reaching on an error and Urias followed with a home run for a 2-1 lead.

The Angels’ second run was charged to Blewett when Zach Neto scored on Povich’s third-inning wild pitch.

Ramon Laureano’s RBI single in the fourth gave the Orioles the lead again. They tacked on two runs in the sixth on an error and Coby Mayo’s double.

Seranthony Dominguez, Andrew Kittredge and Yennier Cano followed Povich on the mound and combined for 2 2/3 shutout innings.

The Angels scored a total of seven runs in the series. Los Angeles pitchers struck out 14 batters across the eight innings they were on the mound Sunday.
