Tundra Esports and Team Falcons each picked up a pair of 2-0 wins on Monday to move into a tie for first in the Group B standings as Group Stage 1 action continued at the DreamLeague Season 24 event.

Both teams entered Monday tied for second after playing to a 1-1 head-to-head draw on Sunday, the first day of competition. Tundra Esports beat HEROIC and Talon Esports to earn their first two victories of Group Stage 1, while Team Falcons topped Team Spirit and HEROIC.

Three other Group B teams defeated their respective opponents 2-0, as Talon Esports blanked Azure Ray and Team Waska got the best of Palianytsia, who also fell to Team Spirit.

Azure Ray and Team Waska had Group B’s only tie on Monday.

Group Stage 1 features two groups competing in single round-robin play, with all matches consisting of two games. Action runs through Wednesday, and the top four teams from each group will move on to Group Stage 2.

The eight teams that advance to Group Stage 2 will play each other in a lone round-robin group. There, all matches will be best-of-three, and the two best squads will land in the upper bracket of the playoffs, the third- and fourth-place teams will head to the lower bracket of the playoffs and the remaining four teams will be eliminated.

Group Stage 2 begins Friday and runs through Nov. 7.

The playoffs, which start Nov. 9, will feature a double-elimination bracket. All matches are best-of-three aside from the best-of-five grand final on Nov. 10. The winner will take home $300,000 of the $1 million prize pool.

Fewer teams came away with wins in Group A on Monday, with only four avoiding draws. Gaimin Gladiators bested Nigma Galaxy, PARIVISION sank Nouns Esports and Xtreme Gaming silenced BetBoom Team, who in turn defeated Team Liquid.

AVULUS settled for two 1-1 ties — against Nouns Esports and Team Liquid — while matches between Xtreme Gaming and Nigma Galaxy and Gaimin Gladiators and PARIVISION also finished without a winner.

Group Stage 1 play continues Tuesday with eight matches in each group.
